The government announced yesterday that the social distancing measures for catering businesses will be eased this Thursday (tomorrow), 18 Feb 2021. Food outlets can start to offer dine-in service later into the night until 10pm with four people allowed per table, compared to the current cut-off time of 6pm and two people cap for each table. In addition, food outlets will have to comply with two additional infection control measures otherwise will be asked to shorten their dine-in hours to 6pm with only 2 people allowed per table for 3, 7 or 14 days depending on the situation. These mandatory measures are:

1. all staff of food outlet will have to undergo virus testing every fortnight, and

2. patrons, upon arrival at a food outlet, will have to use the LeaveHomeSafe mobile app or provide their personal information (including names, contact numbers and time of entry) with their records kept for 31 days.

To avoid any inconvenience that may cause to you in using campus catering services, it is highly recommended that you download the LeaveHomeSafe app to your mobile devices by today (17 Feb) and scan the QR code at the food outlet which you visit starting from tomorrow (18 Feb).
